How much do you pay for an event photographer?

When it comes to event photography in Cornwall, there are several factors that can affect the pricing of a professional photographer. The type and duration of the event, the photographer's level of experience and expertise, and the type of services and products offered can all impact the overall cost.

On average, event photography services in Cornwall can range from £500 to £2000, depending on the aforementioned factors. However, it's important to note that some photographers may charge more or less than this range, depending on their individual pricing strategy and market demand.

When choosing an event photographer based on their pricing and services, it's important to consider your budget and the specific needs of your event. Some photographers may offer packages that include a certain number of hours of coverage, digital copies of the photos, and print products, while others may have bespoke packages for each service.

To get the most out of your event photography investment, make sure to choose a photographer who offers high-quality services at a reasonable price. Do your research, read reviews, and ask for references to ensure that you're choosing a photographer who has a solid reputation and the expertise to capture your special moments perfectly

At Tin and Copper, our event photography packages offer high-performing content from as little as £300, with ad-ons available to provide you with the perfect range of scale of content to help you reach your goals.

How many photos should an event photographer take ?

The number of photos taken by an event photographer can vary depending on the type and duration of the event. For example, a wedding or corporate event may require more photos than a smaller, private party. In general, event photographers aim to capture as many meaningful and candid moments as possible, while also ensuring that the overall quality of the photos is high.

When it comes to how many photos you should expect from an event photographer, it can be difficult to give an exact number. However, as a general rule of thumb, you can expect to receive around 50 photos per hour of photography coverage. For a full-day event, you can expect to receive anywhere from 500-1000 photos, depending on the photographer's shooting style and the events that take place throughout the day.

To get the best results from your event photographer, it's important to communicate your expectations and needs clearly. Before the event, discuss with your photographer the key moments you want them to capture and any specific shots or poses that you have in mind. During the event, work closely with your photographer to ensure that they're capturing all the important moments and people. With clear communication and collaboration, you can ensure that you get the most out of your event photography experience.

Remember that more isn’t always better. With our event photography at Tin and Copper we focus on the quality of our storytelling above all else, perfectly capturing the atmosphere and energy of the event in snapshots which speak for themselves. Whilst discussing the project with you, we’ll make sure to take into account how you plan to use the images and how we can best provide the right amount of imagery for those goals.

  1. Tin and Copper

We’re not ashamed to put ourselves at the top of the list of best event photographers in Cornwall.

We’re a social first digital marketing agency in Cornwall with a passion for crafting high-performing creative content that captivates and informs. Whilst today our services include video production, social media management, web design, PPC and more, everything started from our passion for photography. We still carry that passion with us to this day, and we love nothing more than capturing the energy of events both within Cornwall and across the rest of the UK.

We cover all forms of events, from the magic of weddings to the excitement of environmental activism, take a look below at a few of our favourite projects.

Festivals

Rock Oyster Festival: Each year, Cornwall hosts a whole range of festivals of all shapes and sizes, but Rock Oyster Festival stands out as one of our favourites. A family food and music festival, this Cornish gem features mouth-watering cooking demonstrations from top chefs, incredible food vendors, and of course phenomenal music acts. It’s a summer treat for us as every year we capture the festival in photography and videography.

International events

G7 Summit 2021: More than a few famous faces have graced our cameras, but perhaps none more recognisable than President Joe Biden. During the G7 meetings in Cornwall, we were tasked with photographing the visiting dignitaries as they landed at Newquay Airport.

Charity events

Surfers Against Sewage: This Is An Ocean Emergency: We’re big believers that great photography not only has the power to entertain, but to inform, engage and ultimately to create positive change. It’s been our pleasure to work with Surfers Against Sewage over the years. On this occasion, we went to governments front door to hand in a petition demanding tighter legislation around sewage outlets and water companies. If that sounds a little scary, don’t worry! We had the support of two schools of committed and passionate young activists and Olympian Hannah Mills!

Business events

Phytome: Cornwall is a hub of innovation and business leadership and throughout the past few years, we’ve been on hand to document the fantastic initiatives that come to life in our county. This time was an mixer and speaking event hosted by Phytome!

The practical nature of the course allowed Charlotte to become proficient in using a variety of filming equipment and to create films to broadcast standards. She found her niche in being behind the camera, editing, and directing. Outside of her work, Charlotte enjoys exploring the outdoors and can often be found in woodlands or on the beach.

As a Qualified member of the Guild of Photographers, Maryna's work has been recognised for its high standard and quality. She enjoys making her photo shoots more of a movie still than just an image, capturing emotions and passion through creative lighting techniques.

5. Lee Searle

Lee Searle discovered photography at age 17 while recovering from an illness. It became his therapy and focus during his recovery and later became a dominating factor in his life.
